Agent Reach

The tool from our reel "Claude can't stop watching reels". Agent Reach is a free, open-source (MIT licence) command-line tool that lets an AI agent like Claude Code read and search public pages on sites it normally can't open.

What it can read

• Works out of the box: YouTube (video info, search, subtitles), GitHub, Bilibili, V2EX, and web pages / web search.
• Needs a login (it reuses the one in your Chrome): Reddit, LinkedIn, XiaoHongShu, Xueqiu and a few others.
• Experimental (may stop working at any time): Instagram (profiles, users, posts), Twitter/X, Facebook.
• Read only: it searches and reads. It does not post, like, comment or send messages.
• Speech-to-text for videos needs your own Groq or OpenAI key.

Install in 3 steps (from the project's install guide)

1. Get uv (a Python tool installer) if you don't have it:
   • Mac / Linux: curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
   • Windows (PowerShell): powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"
2. Install and set up Agent Reach:
   Copy and pasteCopy

   uv tool install https://github.com/Panniantong/Agent-Reach/releases/latest/download/agent-reach.zip
   agent-reach setup

   If agent-reach isn't found afterwards, run uv tool update-shell and open a new terminal.
3. Use it from your agent: run agent-reach channels to see what's switched on, then give Claude Code a public link and ask it to read it (for example agent-reach read <link>).

Don't pip install agent-reach: the package with that name on PyPI is a different project.

Safety note

For sites that need a login it copies your Chrome login, so use a spare account (not your main one) and only point it at public links.
